Proof of Concept

Concept 01

AI-Driven Solutions for Pet Anxiety

When FurFeel's AI detects signs of anxiety in pets like Charlie, it promptly alerts Emily.

But it doesn't stop there - the app takes proactive steps by playing Emily's pre-recorded voice messages, Charlie's favorite music, or even simulating Emily's voice to converse with Charlie.

This feature ensures that even when Emily is away, Charlie receives comfort and feels less anxious, maintaining a sense of normalcy and care.

Concept 02

Real-Time Monitoring of Pet Behavior and Emotions

FurFeel provides a comprehensive view of Charlie’s daily life. Emily can monitor Charlie's behavior and emotional changes in real-time through live camera feeds.

This feature enables her to not just watch over Charlie but to interact remotely, ensuring that he is safe, happy, and engaged, even when she’s not physically present.

Concept 03

Voice Interaction and Pet Behavior Analysis

Bridging the communication gap, FurFeel’s AI translates Emily's text messages into sounds that Charlie can understand, enhancing their interactions.

Emily can also upload photos or videos of Charlie to the app, which the AI analyzes to interpret his needs or feelings.

This feature is a breakthrough in pet-human communication, fostering a deeper understanding between Emily and Charlie.

Usability Testing

Users found the Segmented Picker intuitive and appreciated the clear distinction between 'Real-time' and 'Through Camera' conversation modes.

There was a significant decrease in the time taken by users to switch between modes compared to the previous design.

01 Segmented Picker Clarity

The usability test focused on evaluating the updated conversation page.

Key areas of examination included the new Segmented Picker for conversation modes, the placement of conversation bubbles, and the relocation of image analysis and other icons.

02 Conversation Bubbles Placement

The new placement of conversation bubbles near the bottom of the screen was well-received. Users reported that it made the conversation flow feel more natural and aligned with standard messaging apps, enhancing comfort and familiarity.

03 Visibility of Image Analysis Feature

Moving the image analysis icon outside the message input area led to increased visibility and usage of the feature. Participants found it easier to locate and use, with several noting that they were more likely to use the feature now than they were with the previous design.
